What is Gel Extension?
Gel Extension is a nail extension made in gel. We place a form under your own nail and build the new length in gel, layer by layer. Every nail is shaped on its own, so the result looks natural and suits your hand. It's the one to choose if you'd like longer nails than you have today.
How it works
Step 01
We agree on length and shape
Show us what you have in mind, a photo is perfect. We find the length and shape that suit your hands and your everyday life.
Step 02
Your nails are prepped
We shape and file your nails, care for the cuticles and lightly buff the surface so the gel grips well.
Step 03
We build the new nail
A form goes under each nail and we build the length in gel. Every layer is cured under the lamp.
Step 04
Shape and finish
The forms come off and we file the nails to the shape we agreed on. Then a glossy top coat.
Step 05
A little care to finish
We finish with a rich hand cream, as we do after every treatment.

- How long depends on how fast your nails grow and what your hands get up to.
- A refill every 3 to 4 weeks
- When regrowth shows at the cuticle, book a Gel Refill.
- 1-week quality guarantee
- If a nail chips or breaks within a week, we fix it for free.

- When it's time for the gel to come off, book Gel Removal so your own nails are protected.
A little history
Gel nails are older than you'd think
Light-cured gel nails go back further than many think. A US patent first filed in 1983 and granted in 1986 describes artificial nails made from a gel that hardens under UV light. It even covers "filler" maintenance, the step we now call a refill.
