What is Gel Reinforcement?
Gel Reinforcement is a thicker, clear gel applied to your natural nails. It builds a small, strong point in the centre of the nail that takes the knocks, and it smooths out uneven areas. That makes thin and soft nails stronger and protects them while they grow. It belongs to the same family as builder gel and BIAB.
How it works
Step 01
Your nails are prepped
We shape and file your nails, care for the cuticles and lightly buff the surface so the gel grips well.
Step 02
Base
A thin base layer goes on and is cured under the lamp.
Step 03
Reinforcement
We apply the reinforcing gel and build a strong point in the centre of each nail. It's cured under the lamp.
Step 04
Smooth, glossy finish
We smooth the nails and add a glossy top coat. If you've picked an add-on like French, it goes on here. We finish with a rich hand cream, as we do after every treatment.
Good to know
- Your own length
- We don't add length. If you want longer nails, have a look at Gel Extension or Dual Forms.
- Good for soft nails
- If your nails are thin, soft or break easily, the gel strengthens them while they grow.
- Add-ons for every treatment
- French, Baby Boomer and nail art can go on top of any of our treatments.
- 1-week quality guarantee
- If a nail chips or breaks within a week, we fix it for free.
A little history
Your nails are made of the same stuff as hair
Nails are made mainly of keratin, the same protein that forms hair and the outer layer of your skin. Animal hooves, horns and feathers are built from keratin too. Nails also hold water and fats, which help keep them from getting too dry or fragile.
