What is Shellac?
Shellac is the word most people use for gel polish: colour on your natural nails that cures under a lamp. It's a blend of gel polish and soak-off gel, and it lasts much longer than regular nail polish. Shellac doesn't build up the nail, so it keeps its own length and thickness.
How it works
Step 01
Your nails are prepped
We shape and file your nails, care for the cuticles and prep the surface so the polish grips properly.
Step 02
Colour in thin layers
You choose a colour and we apply it in thin layers. Every layer is cured under the lamp.
Step 03
Glossy top coat
A glossy top coat adds shine and makes the colour last.
Step 04
Ready straight away
Your nails are dry when you leave. We finish with a rich hand cream, as we do after every treatment.

A little history
The name comes from a resin
The word shellac comes from "shell" plus "lac", a translation of the French for lac in thin plates. Lac is a resin made by a tiny insect native to parts of Asia. Old 78 rpm gramophone records were made with shellac.
