What is Dual Forms?
Dual Forms is a way of doing nail extensions. We fill a reusable form with gel and press it down over your own nail. Once the gel is cured, we take the form off and the nail has its shape. The form gives the nail a very precise build, which makes it strong and durable, and it's quicker than sculpting the nail by hand.
How it works
Step 01
We choose shape and length
We find the length and shape you'd like and pick a form in the right size for each nail.
Step 02
Your nails are prepped
We shape and file your nails, care for the cuticles and cure a thin base layer under the lamp.
Step 03
Gel in the form
We fill the form with gel and press it onto the nail so it sits just right. The gel is cured under the lamp.
Step 04
The form comes off
Once the gel is hard, we lift the form off. The nail now has its shape, and we file the last details into place.
Step 05
Finish
The nails get a glossy top coat. We finish with a rich hand cream, as we do after every treatment.

A little history
Long nails were once a status symbol
In Qing dynasty China (1644 to 1912), long nails were a status symbol. They showed that the wearer didn't need to work with her hands. High-ranking women protected them with nail guards of silver or tortoiseshell, decorated with gold, enamel or gems, according to Oxford's Pitt Rivers Museum.
